Daniel’s roof replacement project in Royal Oak, MI, is a great example of how important it is for homeowners to have time to fully understand their options and make the decision that feels right for their home and budget.
We first met with Daniel and his wife in May of 2024 after they noticed possible roofing concerns while RoofAdvisor was inspecting a neighboring property. During the initial inspection, the roof was found to be in surprisingly good condition for its age, with only a few repairable issues, including:
- A failing pipe boot
- Exposed nails
- Damaged flashing
Rather than rushing into a major project, Daniel and his wife carefully explored all available options, including repairs, a layover roofing system, and a full tear-off replacement.
Over time, they were able to:
- Compare long-term costs and value
- Plan financially
- Better understand the benefits of a complete roofing system
In October of 2025, they invited RoofAdvisor back out for updated estimates and product discussions before ultimately deciding to move forward with a full roof replacement in spring of 2026.
