W. Gamble’s roofing project in Plymouth, MI, addressed extensive damage caused by raccoons along the roof edges, along with previous leak concerns near a valley area that had been temporarily repaired in the past.
To restore long-term protection and improve the overall performance of the roofing system, RoofAdvisor completed a full roof replacement on both the home and detached garage using:
- Owens Corning Duration® architectural shingles in Sedona Canyon
Roofing System Upgrades
The new roofing system included:
- Synthetic underlayment
- Upgraded ice and water barrier protection at all eaves, valleys, and penetrations
- Starter shingles installed at all eaves and rakes for improved wind resistance
Additional improvements included:
- New brown drip edge
- Flashing upgrades
- Ridge ventilation
- Replacement plumbing boots
These upgrades help reinforce vulnerable roof areas while improving attic airflow and long-term roofing performance.
Additional Exterior Improvements
As part of the project, our team also:
- Removed two unused second-story satellite mounts
- Preserved the existing first-story satellite connection requested by the homeowner
These changes helped create a cleaner finished appearance while maintaining the homeowner’s preferred setup.
Insurance Claim Support & Long-Term Protection

- Improved weather resistance
